All members must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Active members are defined as those in good standing with the lodge’s bylaws and current with the dues required for their membership type. The Carolina Bear Lodge does not prohibit membership in any other club or organization.
CBL members receive a number of benefits, including discounted rates to attend the lodge’s signature event – Bear Hunt, as well as CBL Anniversary. The lodge also holds other events throughout the year for which members can attend free.
Members have access to the CBL website (www.carolinabearlodge.club), which includes a directory of members and can become eligible to serve on the board of directors after six months. They also vote on issues placed on the ballot for approval by the general membership, and they can nominate individuals to serve on the board or to be honored with lodge awards.
New members get an official CBL pin.
Lifetime membership is an honor bestowed by the CBL Board of Directors; recipients are presented the James Martin Lifetime Membership Award. The honor is named for the CBL’s first president, who served the lodge admirably for a number of years.
Submit a new member application; the rate for a new member is $20.
A renewal application rate for returning members is $14.
Please note that registration allows instant access to member areas of the website and member discounts. Email bearhunt@carolinabears.org for more information. Thank you!
